Muscle cramps and sore joints- the post-workout experience is by far one of the most excruciating aspects of training. No matter how much you practice and how much of your physical limits you have unlocked, there is always an extra mile to run. An extra rep you can always do. An extra weight you can always add. The end result is a healthier you, but the part between you dropping those weights and you feeling good about yourself, is pain.
The Post Workout Experience
You are as tired and will be sleeping like a log after your intense workout. Of the several experiences you have, some of them are:
Ached Muscles: muscle pain is the result of damage to your muscle fibers when you overexert it. It can also be due to trauma or infection. This happens tandem when the muscle is made to work to an extent it isn’t used to. Unique intensive workouts, such as sports that focus on a particular muscle group cause your fibers to tear.
Face Flushed Red: facial redness is another response to strenuous physical exercise. It is caused when the body’s circulatory system is forced with oxygen-rich blood to allow more oxygen to reach muscle groups that are under duress. Your adrenaline spikes, your heart pace increases and you start to take longer, deeper breaths to fulfill the body’s oxygen demand. This is why your face looks redder than usual.
Muscle Cramps: when the muscle groups are starved of oxygen, it causes the build-up of lactic acid due to oxygen-less energy breakdown. That when combined with dehydration, causes the cramps to flare up and you will be writhing in pain by the time you leave.
How CBD Can Help
It is no secret now, that it is effective to use CBD for muscle pain. You can use CBD after work out, as CBD helps as an arterial vasodilator, which helps widen the arteries and reduce inflammation in them. This in turn increases the blood flow and boosts the recovery rate. There are many CBD creams and lotions that can be applied and massaged to help the body absorb the much needed CBD goodness. CBD also helps in inducing sleep, which is the prime way for the body to rest and recuperate. You can not only use CBD after workout, but before work out as well. CBD helps you focus and allows your body to be relaxed and ‘unstrained’ when working out, hence reducing injury.
